Terms of Service

Renovate is operated by Bilal Shahzad, doing business as Renovate (“Renovate”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Correspondence should be sent to info@hellorenovate.com.

Renovate is a software tool that helps renovation contractors run their business. Creating estimates, sending invoices, tracking jobs, and communicating with clients. Renovate does not perform renovation work itself and is not a party to any commercial relationship you have with your own customers.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at info@hellorenovate.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

Renovate is offered on two paid monthly subscription tiers:

• Pro. USD 29.99 per month
• Pro Plus. USD 59.99 per month

Feature entitlements for each plan are described on the pricing page at hellorenovate.com/pricing. Prices are quoted in United States Dollars unless a different currency is displayed to you at checkout.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month on the anniversary of your initial payment. You may cancel at any time from the billing screen inside the Service or by contacting us. See our Refund Policy for details on cancellation and refunds.

Payments for Renovate subscriptions are processed by Stripe, Inc., our authorised payment processor. When you subscribe, your commercial contract for the transaction is with Renovate, who collects payment via Stripe, issues receipts, and administers refunds under the terms of this document.

By subscribing you agree to Stripe's Payment Terms in addition to these Terms.

Payments you receive from your own customers through the Service are collected through your linked Stripe Connect account. They are separate from your Renovate subscription and do not flow through Renovate.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything illegal, fraudulent, or that infringes the rights of others.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' data.
• Send spam, unsolicited bulk email, or unlawful communications through the Service's email or messaging features.
• Upload malware, viruses, or content that is obscene, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section without notice.

You retain all rights to the content you create in Renovate. Estimates, invoices, contacts, project data, uploaded photos, and anything else you input into the Service (“Your Content”). We do not claim ownership of Your Content.

You grant Renovate a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service and provide it to you and the recipients you send it to (for example, when you send an estimate to a client).

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of Your Content. You represent that you have all rights necessary to upload it and to share it with anyone you share it with through the Service.

The Service integrates with third-party providers to deliver core functionality:

• Stripe. Subscription billing and Merchant of Record for Renovate.
• Stripe Connect. Connect your merchant account so customer payments on your invoices land directly in your bank.
• Google. Powers the Renovate AI image rendering feature.
• Resend. Transactional email delivery.
• Neon Postgres and Vercel. Hosting and database infrastructure.

Your use of these providers through the Service is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or availability of third-party providers.

The Service, including its software, design, brand, logos, and content authored by us, is owned by Renovate and protected by intellectual property law. Except for the limited licence granted to you to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription. When you cancel, access continues through the end of the current billing period.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or engage in conduct that we believe puts the Service, other users, or third parties at risk.

After termination, we may retain your data for up to 90 days to allow reactivation or lawful record-keeping, then delete it as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Renovate's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service in any twelve month period will not exceed the amount you paid to Renovate (through Stripe) in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

In no event will Renovate be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data, arising out of or relating to the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Renovate and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If the changes are material we will notify you by email or through the Service before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Nothing in this section limits any statutory consumer rights that apply in your jurisdiction and cannot be waived by contract.
